On the occasion of commemorating 30 years since Rwanda’s liberation and the valor of the RPA in ending the Genocide against the Tutsi in 1994, President Kagame delivered a message to Rwandans emphasizing the dignity they possess, affirming that no one can diminish it.
This message was delivered at the Amahoro Stadium on Monday, July 4, 2024, during the solemn ceremonies marking three decades since Rwanda’s liberation, attended by thousands, while others followed through television and digital platforms.
In his address to the attendees, the country’s leader highlighted the dignity of Rwandans and expressed that nothing and no one can compromise it. He stated, “The dignity Rwandans possess is within us. No one and nothing can diminish it.”
President Kagame underscored the significance of Rwanda’s journey to liberation, noting that the country was rebuilt where every citizen has dignity and a stake in government affairs. He emphasized that despite challenges faced along the way, Rwandans must continue looking forward.
Regarding national security, President Kagame assured that Rwanda is stable and will remain so. He said, “Our country is secure and will continue to address any challenges that arise. The progress of Rwanda must be safeguarded.”
President Kagame concluded his address with a message of encouragement to Rwandans, urging them to protect and nurture their country for future generations. He stated, “This nation is yours to defend and nurture, ensuring its continued progress. It was imperative to rebuild and start over, the liberation began when the search for the egg’s casket or the day.
